I’m an instructional designer and artist. My partner lost his home in the 2020 California fires leaving his two cats and him homeless. I took his cats in to my home. I have two cats already so the four cats are sharing 600 sq. ft. Lucky is a two year old male who has recently experienced a block. The ER vet unblocked him and put a catheter in. He was hospitalized for six days. My partner and I don’t want to do surgery due to risks and finances. So if he blocks again, we will put him down. This is breaking my heart. I’m doing as much home care as possible and calling the ER vet when I have questions. Would love to learn more about this condition so that I can save Lucky’s life.
