Animals have been a part of my life as long as I can remember, my first dog made his way into my life when I was only a year old. We grew up together and a life long love for animals began. I showed my Labrador Retriever as a teenager in 4H. When I was first married my husband and I rescued orphaned kittens nursing them back to health and adopting them out once they were old enough to be spayed and neutered. When my three children were born we took a brief break from our rescue efforts however returned three years ago. Our family has fostered over 80 dogs and puppies. We have had everything from orphaned puppies, a very sick litter of 8 20lb GSD puppies, a feral momma and her babies, dogs needing heartworm treatment, dogs needing orthopedic surgery, dogs needing rehabilitation and everything in between! We have also had several more orphaned kittens come through our home. My family consists of my husband, our 3 children, our 5 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses, 4 chickens and a rooster! I work in a busy local veterinarian’s office and am on the Board for a local rescue serving. When we aren’t busy saving animals or working you can usually find us on the soccer field or enjoying a weekend away camping! My life may be busy and chaotic but it is filled with hope.
