I would phone your Vet and ask for advice…and tell them how big the eyeliner pencil was. It may pass through your dog, it may get stuck. Better to check with your Vet.

Any dog with diarrhoea for this long needs to see a Vet. Take a sample with you. There could be some underlying cause which needs Veterinary treatment.

Hi Mary….I would be inclined to ask your Vet to do a biopsy. You will know what it is and hopefully get the correct treatment. . His poor nose does look very sore indeed.

RESPONSE FROM KRISTA VIA EMAIL..she suggested I put this on the site as it may well help others.
“Hello! I always recommend my patients will be ok with a flea and tick preventative. Even with concurrent health issues. If you don’t use one you will get fleas. I don’t know of a safer product that has worked better. I know many of the Holistic Vets try other things but I just haven’t seen them be effective.

Hi, sorry to hear your dog is in pain. Have you throughly checked her paw, plus in between her toes and pads to see if there’s a thorn etc ?
Also carefully go down her leg and see if she shows pain when you touch a particular spot. If it is a thorn etc take it out with tweezers and make sure its clean and bathed. If you cannot find anything then please do take her to your Vet…she’s showing pain for a reason. Good luck!

Hi I’m so sorry your dog has injured himself. If you cannot get him to an emergency Vet could you possibly cage rest him? He could have seriously damaged something and the less he uses his back legs the better. If he needs to go outside to the toilet you could also support him under his tummy with a large towel to keep the weight off his legs until you can take him to the Vet for a diagnosis. Please do try and take him to an emergency Vet if you possibly can though. I do hope he will be OK and you too…they are such a worry aren’t you they. Good luck!

Does the plant live in a pot? You could try adding scent around it that would make the cat want to avoid it.
