Kirra’s Mass Removals And Dental Cleaning.
Treatment Cost (USD): $1028.52
Kirra had two masses growing under the skin over her spinal area. They larger one was about the size of a lemon and the smaller, just a few inches from the first closer to her tail, was about the size of a grape. The larger one was beginning to cause the skin to stretch to the point where rupture was eminent. When a mass ruptures the area is very unlikely to heal closed as this is abnormal tissue. A nonhealing wound or ruptured mass can result in chronic bleeding/exudate, infection or even maggots. Large masses that are about to cause skin rupture should be surgically excused before they get so large the skin opens or the mass removal is too large to close, or is causing the pet discomfort or ambulatory difficulty.

Dental Cleaning And Mass Removal In A Bloodhound.
Treatment Cost (USD): $1081.00
Dewey is a one year old Bloodhound who had a pendulous subcutaneous mass at his sternum. He was also unneutered. The mass needed to be removed as it hanging and the skin covering it was thinning and would eventually rupture. A pendulous mass will continue to stretch and eventually rupture which would then need to be surgically removed. In doing both surgeries at the same time it reduced both the cost and the anesthesia risk/exposure.

Cranial Cruciate Ligament Surgery. Meet Bosun. This Is The Story About His Lateral Fabellar Suture Repair For His Knee Injury.
Treatment Cost (USD): $1650.00
Bosun's knee injury occurred like most of them do; he was running/playing in the park, having a grand time, then turned quickly, YELPED! After that he was chronically lame.. The lameness for this injury is typically bad for a few days, then improves marginally with rest, only to recur with any slight amount of exercise or activity.

Bosun is doing very well! Slow but steady recovery. Bosun is getting around noticeably better and can steady himself fairly easily when he gets up instead of having the leg fall away underneath him. I mean, we know at the age of ten, that Bosun will not be running around like his younger puppy days or anything, our expectations are realistic. He is much better getting up and moving around post surgery and his quality of life is considerably better. In my opinion, and I like to believe in Bosun’s too, the surgery was totally worth doing. Bosun is such a good boy and seems much happier since getting his knee repaired. Thanks again Doctor Krista!

Mass Removal In An Older Dog With Kidney Disease
Treatment Cost (USD): $976.90
Riesling is an older lab with elevated kidney enzymes. She presented months earlier with a suspected benign mammary mass. The mass was slow growing, not bothersome, and her pet parents were worried about her ability to tolerate anesthesia, so they watched, hoped and waited. Suddenly the mass began to grow rapidly. It burst late one weekend evening. It was bandaged but because the mass was not normal healthy tissue the bleeding and ulcerative lesion would not/could not be stopped.
