My Gemma Kitty has three little, what I thought was, scabs on her forehead. One by each “eyebrow” and one in the center of her brows. Over the last few days, this spot has been getting worse. I called my local vet and they said they can’t get her in until 2/3! I just got home from work and this spot is bleeding, maybe a little Puss too! I’m so worried. Any ideas? Should I go to emergency vet?

A few of my co-workers and I have been taking care of some feral cats that hang around my office. Those co-workers have since moved on. So that leaves me with the expenses of food and such. I’m doing my best to keep up because I truly care for these cats. I would like to get some flea and tic medicine on them…. They do allow me to get near them and also pet them, just for a minute though! Anyone know where to find highly discounted meds for them?

What are your recommendations to comfort dogs during thunderstorms and fireworks?
My mother-in-laws Dog is petrified over loud noises and hides, shakes, growls, gets very very panicked… etc. You can’t even hold him and try to comfort him when he gets this way. She has tried the thunder blanket and that didn’t work. He’s actually starting to freak out as soon as it gets dark.
Is there any over the counter meds available that would relax him? If so what and how much for a 19lb dog? Can dogs have Xanax or Valium?

My nephew was just at my house and we believe he has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease… 1) I locked my cat up so she wasn’t around him. Can cats get infected? 2) what is a safe disinfectant to use around my house that isn’t harmful to cats?

My 6month old kitten was spayed Thursday of last week. Her incision is swollen, the length of the incision and about a 1/2″ high. Is this normal? She has only had a bowel movement about 4x since being home.
Trying to help 6mon old feral kitten the was attacked by something last weekend. He was treated at Jarrettsville Vet Mon & today. He will not move his body, hasn’t been to the bathroom since this AM, pupils large, constant meowing. ER?
Hello,
It is not possible to diagnose via a photo. I’m sorry. But that does look very fresh and I would say concerning. For cases like these I do a thorough exam and ask about possibility of allergies or ectoparasites. I also look at the ears and try to identify the source of the itching or irritation. If your vet can’t see you soon you might have to go to an er. Or even find a different vet. I’m sorry I can’t offer more advice. It’s imperative to figure out why she is scratching this area to stop it.
Thanks Krista. I’m going to head to the ER vet. I’m so worried, I’ve been in tears. The one I am familiar with in Hickory is closed tonight! I’ll have to try the one by the Harford mall. I’m not going to be able to sleep if I don’t go. Thanks again. Merry Christmas!
