My dalmation had a litter of puppies. 12 of them. They are 10 weeks old tomorrow. One of them was taken to the emergency vet today and ended up getting put down 😠they said that his intestines came up and suffocated him with his lungs. This could possibly be a birth defect. Is this something I need to worry about with the other 11 in the litter?

1 year old dalmation
Last evening she was laying down and just shaking , I covered her with a blanket and just layed with her and the shaking stopped. Fast forward to this morning, she won’t get out of bed to go to the bathroom and then when my other dog walked near her she growled which she has never done. I’m not sure what can be wrong but she seems like she doesn’t feel well. She also usually wakes me up at night to go out and she didn’t do that either last night.

Jack Russell having coughing like hacking fit for like 15 mins straight. Have a vet appointment in a week but is there anything I can do before then?

I don’t know enough about your pup to offer much help. I think a week is too long to wait. If your pup isn’t coughing frequently (like a few times a day), or the coughing is worsening (ie can’t sleep or coughing to the point of vomiting), then you need to see a vet asap.
My perfectly healthy 13 yo boxer just out of nowhere his back legs fall out from under him and he can’t stand or walk. He doesn’t seem bothered when you touch his back or legs and then stared vomiting

The answer to why this might be happening lies in an examination with your veterinarian. I worry about heart disease in boxers. I also worry about hemoabdomen. Gum color, abdominal palpitation, heart and lungs need to listened to and an orthopedic and neurological examination are needed. This has the potential of being an emergency. -
Summer Post author Thank you I am at the emergency vet now as he started seizing as well.
My border collie 2 years old recently started staring at shadows. She will just sit and stare for hours. When the light moves and the shadow is in a different spot she will move with it. What could be going on? I can’t get her to play or cuddle or anything once she starts staring.
I took her to the vet for bloodwork and everything came back normal.

Laura This sounds like an obsessive behavior. I would be working on training and mental work daily in the hopes this can be curbed.

I would also ask your vet about the possibility of focal seizures and whether a referral to a neurologist might be helpful.

I’m sorry to hear about your puppy. I’m not exactly sure what happened to this one. It’s probably best to direct this to the veterinarian who helped you with them. I would also be transparent with the other people who purchase puppies from you.
