Troy came in for a Mass that had begun affecting his ability to walk. He had previously undergone TPLO surgery, and just a few weeks later, his mom noticed a growing lump. Concerned, she knew Troy needed to be seen to determine the next steps. During the vet visit, the veterinarian sent out a fine needle aspirate (FNA) to get answers before proceeding with surgery. The FNA revealed fat cells, pointing towards a lipoma.
On the day of surgery, Troy was in great hands, and a 20cm “fatty lump” was successfully removed. Now, Troy is walking much better, and his mom is thrilled that everything turned out well. The surgery cost around $1,200, a significant savings compared to specialty surgeons, who were estimating $3,000-$4,000. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Magnifico for his support in helping Troy and his mom through this challenging time.
