Lacey presented mid-December for two consecutive days of vomiting and lethargy, as well as a painful abdomen. She was treated symptomatically (nausea medication, subQ fluids, b12 injection and Full Blood panel) and sent home for further observation. Her condition did not improve overnight so unfortunately Lacey returned to the hospital the next day.
Lacey was hospitalized once again (for two additional days) and treated for acute Pancreatitis. She responded extremely well to her antibiotics, fluid therapy and nausea medication. By mid-day the second day, Lacey was eating readily, drinking water, and otherwise bright and happy. More importantly, she was keeping down the food and water consumed. She was discharged to go home at the end of the third day of treatment.
Lacey returned the next day and was doing well for her recheck and continues to do so.
On another note, Lacey was also icteric relating to the health of her. No further treatment was administered at this time.
