Canine Spay & Gastropexy

Tell Your Story:

Grace came in for her Spay and Gastropexy. We recommend spaying around 6 months to 1 year of age, or when we are fully grown. A Gastropexy is a surgical procedure in which the stomach is tacked or sutured to the abdominal wall. This procedure is typically done in your large breed, deep chested canines. It is done to prevent GDV- Gastric dilation volvus ( bloating/ twisting of the stomach)
