During a spay procedure, we place an IV catheter to administer fluids throughout the day, keeping the patient well-hydrated and allowing us to deliver any necessary medications safely and efficiently.

Recovery typically takes about 14 days, provided the patient is kept calm and activity is limited. For pets with higher energy levels, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian about post-operative medications to help support a smooth recovery.
