Regular Vet Visit

Cat Spay. Routine OHE. Meet Dash, about the sweetest, cutest kitten ever!

Symptoms:

Dash was adopted a little later than most kittens are. She was vaccinated previously at anpther local small animal clinic. When her new family adopted her they brought her to us for an exam and pre-op bloodwork.
Cost of the exam $45
Blood work (6 panel chemistry and CBC) $60

Diagnosis:

Dash was a normal healthy 6 month old kitten, the normal age that we spay.

Treatment:

Routine OHE (spay). For all cat spays at our clinic we intubate, (place an endotracheal tube) and then perform a routine ovariohysterectomy (removal of uterus and uterine horns).

Conclusion:

Dash did great! She smiled and purred the whole day through. Go gentle with cats, treat them as delicately as you would a prized pup. Too many people chose to not provide the same standard of care as they would their best clients best ribbon winner.. I’m just not that kind of veterinarian. Every cat is given a pre op exam, tailored anesthetic protocol and watched closely as they wake up.
cost of surgery;
spay with anesthesia $150
post op pain medication,, injectable $31.51
microchip $25
ecollar ( as you can see in the post op photos, she was licking her incision) $15
