Chance is an 7 year old Boxer that has been coming to JVC his entire life. During his most recent physical exam it was noted that he needed a dental cleaning & polishing. He also had several masses that were recommended to be surgically removed. After running pre-anesthetic blood work on Chance, his procedures were scheduled shortly there after.
On the day of his procedures, Chance was dropped off and checked in by the Surgical Technician and then taken to the treatment area where he was be prepped for surgery by having an IV catheter placed in one of his front limbs. Once he was all settled in, Chance was connected to IV fluid therapy while waiting for his procedures to begin.
Chance’s mass removals were completed first. Everything was routine and went perfectly. Next was his dental procedures. Fortunately no extractions were so his teeth were scaled and polished.
Chance recovered beautifully and went home later that day after being discharged by the Surgical Technician.
