Halo is a long time visitor of Jarrettsville Animal Hospital (JVC). She has been coming to JVC since 2018. Recently, Halo came in to see us once again today. Halo is here for annual exam, including bloodwork, fecal testing and some vaccine boosters.
It was noted during her exam that Halo has a broken premolar tooth in her upper right quadrant of her mouth. Extraction was recommended. Halo’s dental procedure was scheduled about one month later.
Halo was dropped of early in the morning on the day of surgery and after being checked in by a Technician she was taken to the treatment area to have an IV catheter placed.
She began her IV fluid therapy promptly afterward, waiting for her turn in surgery. While on IV fluid therapy, Halo remained under constant supervision by several technicians and doctors.
All things considered, Halo’s dental was fairly routine with the exception of the single extraction that was required. She recovered nicely from her anesthesia and went home later that day after being discharged by a technician.
Due to the extraction, Halo was sent home with an oral anti-inflammatory medication to help with her comfort while healing.
