Lexy has some dental disease that is causing her teeth to be mobile. It is causing bad breath, and long term there is concern that it will have a negative impact on her heart.

An xray of her heart was taken. It is enlarged which is most consistent with a left atrial enlargement, from mitral valve insufficiency. If she goes to cardiology it would be great to have an updated echocardiogram from them.

We also updated her Lyme & Leptosporosis vaccine and Kennel Cough.

We were not able to get a urine sample today but Lexy has 28 days to add this to her bloodwork panel.

Lexy has been having some trouble with mobility so Librela was recommended. It is an injectable osteoarthritis medication given monthly. It is given here at JVC.

Some of her teeth had to be extracted and the remaining teeth were cleaned and polished.

Lexy recovered from her anesthesia under supervision and went home later that day.
