Eva is a large breed dog. There are important discussions to have with your vet about when the best time to spay a large, deep chested dog. In many cases we are now opting to wait until they reach their adult weight and size to spay and neuter. Thankfully Eva is about the sweetest gentlest girl known, so behavior issues are not a concern. Eva was spayed after all of her puppy vaccines were complete. She was also given the benefit of pre-op blood work (partial chemistry and cbc $60).
