Happy is a 9 year old French Bulldog that started coming to JVC a little over a year ago. Recently he came in for his annual exam and vaccine boosters.
Unfortunately it was noted that Happy is suffering with some bad teeth and an infection in his mouth. He was sent home with antibiotics to use for the skin and mouth. A dental cleaning & polishing with extractions was the recommendation to resolve the problem. Multiple teeth will need to be removed. The normal estimate for this is about $1000-1500. It depends on the number of teeth to remove.
Since he was already going to be sedated, Happy’s owner elected to have us remove the small fleshy mass in his left ear and the small skin mass near his left shoulder as well. He also received a free nail trim.
On the day of his procedures, Happy was dropped off and checked in by the Surgical Technician and then taken to the treatment area where he was be prepped for surgery.
Happy had an IV catheter placed in one of his front limbs and was placed on IV fluid therapy while waiting his turn in the surgical suite.
Firstly Happy’s cosmetic procedures were performed routinely and went well. Next was his dental procedures. There were some extractions necessary while his remaining teeth were scaled and polished.
Happy recovered beautifully and went home later that day after being discharged by the Surgical Technician.
