Bell came in for an exam back in September 2023 and was found to have a raised irregular mammary mass on the second nipple on the left chain and the area was thickened with ulcerated chronic skin. She was sent home with a coarse of antibiotics which helped for a while but the mass came back several months later and the patient was being irritated by it and had started licking at it. The owner placed an Elizabethan collar on the patient to prevent further licking and scheduled the surgery for as soon as possible. The mass was easily removed and Bell recovered very well following surgery.
