Neuter of a 24 week old Domestic Shorthaired Cat

Creamsicle became a patient at JVC recently as a new kitten to one of our existing clients. He has since continued on to come to JVC for all of her medical care needs.

Now that he is finally old enough, Creamsicle came in for a pre-neuter appointment. This appointment is primarily for his blood to be taken and sent out to the lab to ensure he is a safe candidate for anesthesia.

Creamsicle’s lab results were back the next day and his neuter surgery was scheduled for just a few weeks after that.

His surgery went great and he recovered smoothly from anesthesia. Once fully awake from the earlier sedation Creamsicle’s owners were happy to pick him up at the end of the day.
