Bailey is a 12 yr old Longhaired Dachshund that is no stranger here at JVC. Bailey had moderate dental calculi that was causing gum recession so his owners scheduled to have his teeth scaled and polished. Because he is a senior dog, Bailey’s blood work especially had to be sent out to make sure he is safe to undergo anesthesia.
Bailey was dropped of first thing in the morning on the day of surgery. After being checked in by a Technician, he was taken to the treatment area to have his IV catheter placed.
Bailey began his IV fluid therapy whilst waiting for his procedure. During his fluid therapy, Bailey remains under constant supervision by several technicians and doctors.
Bailey’s dental was routine. He recovered nicely and went home later that day.
