Duke is an 11 month old golden retriever mix who needed to be neutered following all of his puppy vaccines. Duke came in for a pre-op exam and bloodwork to make sure that he was healthy and ready for surgery. His surgery went smoothly and was routine. Post-surgery, Duke had a bit of swelling and redness which is normal following a neuter. His owner monitored this and communicated with his doctor to be sure that he was healing properly. Duke is back to his normal spunky self and he healed wonderfully.
Below are the costs of his neuter and some pictures from his procedure:
Pre-op bloodwork and examination $90
Surgical package (IV catheter, fluids, fluid pump, analgesics, and surgical pack) $250
Anesthesia $125
Induction agent $60
Neuter Procedure $100
Medical Pet Shirt $28
E-collar $15
Pain meds and antibiotics $35
Total: $703
