Juniper is a beautiful 1 year old Labrador Retriever that came to Jarrettsville Vet for the first time as a puppy not too long ago. Now that she is old enough her owners have scheduled her spay surgery.
On the day of surgery she was dropped off first thing in the morning, fasted since the night before at midnight and ready for her surgical procedure. A Technician went over all of the check in paperwork and answered any questions the owner had. After that Juniper was taken to the treatment area.
Once in the treatment area, Juniper had an IV catheter placed in one of her front limbs by a technician. Following the catheter placement, Juniper was placed in a comfy cage to rest and was connected to her IV fluid therapy in preparation for surgery.
Her time on the surgical table was short but sweet! Everything was routine and went smoothly. She was maintained on anesthesia during the surgery and woke up gradually and recovered fully without issue.
Later that day Juniper was discharged by a Technician, which went over the discharge paperwork and answered any questions the owner had.
After a few weeks Juniper was fully recovered , running around happily and back to being a Labrador!
