Wheezy is a 9 month old Golden Retriever/Poodle Mix that was Just getting established as a patient with us back in early September ’23. Her owner’s main concern’s at the time were her ears, an umbilical hernia as well as pre spay information.
During Wheezy’s first puppy visit with us she had blood drawn for a full work up to be sent out to the lab as well as a Fecal and a heartworm test. She also received a Rabies vaccine and a Distemper/Lepto/Lyme combo vaccine. Wheezy went home with a single dose of Interceptor Plus as well as a single dose of Credelio and a bottle of Epiklean Ear Cleanser.

Two more weeks later Wheezy returned for a quick pre-spay exam with the doctor.
Just a few days after the New Year, Wheezy came in for her spay and hernia repair surgeries. She was checked into the hospital and taken back to treatment to have an IV catheter placed in one of her front limbs and placed on IV fluid therapy. She was shortly there after sedated and taken to the operating room where she was intubated and placed on anesthesia. While sedated she also received a FREE thorough ear cleaning and nail trim!
Wheezy’s procedures went beautifully and she woke up safely from her anesthesia without incident or concern.
When Wheezy went home she was comfy and cozy sporting her new Medical Pet Shirt (rather than an Elizabethan collar) to discourage her from messing with the surgical sites. She was also given oral medications to take home for pain and inflammation control.
The day following surgery we called the owner to get a status update on Wheezy and she was doing great!
Two weeks more down the road, Wheezy came in one last time (for now) so we could examine her surgical sites to ensure proper healing and to have any sutures removed that are present.
