Tyson came into the vet due to concern of an anal gland abscess. On exam, Dr. Magnifico expressed his anal glands but notes a mass in the rectum. In was noted as a 1cm mass. We did a full laboratory work up and proceeded with Surgery. He was placed on IV fluids to keep hydrated through the day, given IV antibiotics, monitored and went home later. The surgery was successful and Tyson is feeling better than before. His parents report that he is doing well at home & the incision healed up beautifully.
