vets opinion is cancer tumor but diagnosis will cost heaps and if it is cancer nothing could be done due to location. i have been prescribed pain killers which i give her daily. however a new development has me confused, she has started to bleed a little bit from the mouth at the affected area can a tumor bleed? . should i get antibiotics for an abscess ? she deserves to be comfortable but i can not afford untreatable cancer diagnosis

One of my guinea pigs have an abcess that popped. I cleaned it out and it doesnt have an infection but it isn’t healing at all. What should I do.

PK Dennis Keep her clean and dry, perhaps cut the fur away from the wound so the area can stay clean. If there is drainage you might want to soak the area with a wash cloth dipped in hot, salted water two times per day (morning & night). Use Epsom salts if you have them, kosher or sea salt works too. Salt the water until it tastes like the ocean. Dip a clean cloth in the water and wring out to it isn’t too drippy (and the water should be hot, but not burn you or the GP), then place it over the wound and hold it there until the cloth cools. Do this a few times per treatment, cleaning the area with the cloth at the end. Use fresh salted water and a new cloth each morning and night.

your cat needs a vet to determine your next step. don’t give an antibiotic without veterinary direction.
If I could afford the 180 dollar office call he would if already been in, I got hurt and have been unable to work, money is limited but I love my cat don’t want him to be in pain
Hes already in pain with an absess in his mouth. Please do as Laura said and take him to a Vet this won’t get better without the correct treatment. If the poison from the absess goes into his bloodstream it will get a lot worse.
Phone Vets see if you can pay the bill off, borrow the money, anything… but you have to take him.
