Take him to the vet. If u have another they could have been playing and one could have been a bit hurt by the other.

    Angel,
Several things can cause diarrhea in dogs. I would collect a fresh fecal sample and see your veterinarian. They can test for intestinal parasites which could be the cause and treat accordingly. They can also determine if your pet is dehydrated. Any time I have a pet that is having fluid loss from either end (ie. vomiting or diarrhea) I worry about them becoming dehydrated. Furthermore your veterinarian will perform a complete physical exam and gain adequate history to try and narrow down the cause of the diarrhea and thus which treatment route to pursue. A bland diet for the next few days is never a bad idea either. Some examples of this would be hamburger and rice, chicken and rice, or Hills i/d.
Best of luck with your pup! Hope she is feeling better soon!!

Probably should give him a bunch of water and normal food to get it out of his system faster. If it gets worse take him to the vet

  2. Britany Medina

Should i give him his normal puppy food?

honestly, if this is a PUPPY, i wouldn’t wait.  i’d at least call the vet first thing this morning when they open.

Call the vet or pet poison control

My pug / boston terrier mix occasionally chuffs and huffs like a horse with the heaves. What could be the cause of this? My old Yellow Lab used to do the same thing. Could it be heartworms? He’s 5 yr. old not neutered male in good health

If he is not on Heartworm preventative then your dog could have heartworms.  Why is he not on preventative?  It sounds like it could be a heart problem and he should go to the vet.  A vet is the only one who can diagnose Heartworms or another heart problem.

I Have Been Agonizing Over This For 2 Days Now. Last Monday I Took My…

I have been agonizing over this for 2 days now. Last Monday I took my 14 year old cat to the vet because he had stopped eating and drinking. X-Ray showed what the vet thinks is abdominal cancer. After talking to my vet decided that surgery/chemo would not be an option for me and she prescribed steroids which may help and gave him fluids. He perked up a tad after fluids and would eat maybe a quarter to half a can of wet food a day. Since Friday though I have not been able to get him to eat anything (he did come out and lick the food yesterday but would not eat) and all he does is lay under the computer chair. He will not sleep in the bed with me which is something he has done his whole life. I plan to call the vet first thing tomorrow morning, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

you might try some tuna packed in water to get your cat to eat, I know what your going thru three months ago i had to put my 19 year old down and 2 months later i had to put my other cat down. both of mine had kidney faluer  it,s a hard choice. but try the tuna packed in water, and best of luck.

3yr old Don Sphynx has really bad URI, vet gave 2 weeks of synulox (amoxicilin) with no improvement, so conuclide it mus be viral. Just started l lysine, for a few days and his symptoms appear to be getting worse. his eyes are clear but hes deeply congested and sneezing considerably more mucus everywhere, and sneezing frequently. does the l lysine make things initially appear to be getting worse? As in, loosening the mucus that’s there? Or will he need other treatment? he hasn’t had any booster jabs for a long time since a kitten.

I’ve Been Crate Training My New Dog, She’s A Year Old, And She’s Been Doing…

I’ve been crate training my new dog, she’s a year old, and she’s been doing well. I took the crate apart to clean it and as soon as her blanket was put in it she got in and went to sleep. I had to put it together around her. My question is a matter of consistency. My schedule is pretty consistent as a student, but I have a lab once a week right in the middle of the day. Should I only crate her when I’m gone for those two hours or should I do it every day at that time?

agreed – consistency is important during the training process.  once she’s used to it and goes in willingly, i’d say feel free to scale back, but for now keep things to a daily practice.

this is a training issue, rather than a hormone issue.  i would work on obedience training with her.  rigid boundaries and expectations should help with this issue.

if you feel this is beyond your abilities, please consult a good balanced trainer.  you should be able to get a referral from your vet.
