My bunny’s breathing and nose twitching is very fast. My city is in the middle of a heatwave and my bunny has recently just been laying on my kitchen tiles. My sister is staying over and she is very loud and has startled my bunny a lot. I tried to have her lay down on an ice pack but she kept trying to EAT the ice pack so I took it away. I put water in a spray and tried spraying her (it was a mist, not that much water came out) but my bunny would take one spray and run away. Her nose is twitching VERY fast and her breathing is crazy. I was wondering if there was a way I could calm her down. Is she doing OK as well? Her coat is not very thick and she is albino. Thank you.
My cat has thrown up 3 hairballs in the past week. This started after we had began packing to move, he has also had a diet change. I noticed no other problems with him. Could this be due to stress or is it something bigger?
This could be a combination of stress from the move and all that goes along with it and the new food. Your cat may be grooming more often to sooth any stress they are feeling. I would keep an eye on him…maybe jot down how often he is grooming, when hairballd occur, what is going on just before or around the time they occur, and if it continues share this info with your vet. My cats also went through a stage of throwing up hairballs; one of my cats was a domestic long-hair. I solved her issue by shaving her each summer in May and she stays short through December. Also, it made it much easier on her grooming habits, which would lead to hairballs each month. I switched both to a high fiber dry kibble, grain free and hairballs have almost completely been eradicated. I’m wary of highly “colored” kibbles found in the cheaper grocery stores that include many dyes and artificial flavors/colors. These caused both of my cats to vomit commonly. Finally the good news; my vet said the best place for a hairball is one that’s been thrown up. As violent as the act of expelling a hairball is, it beats the alternative of a colon obstruction. My 10 yr old Maltese was laying on my bed. When I took her off of it the area she was laying on was very wet. Not urine wet. There was no odor. But I could feel the wetness and see where it stained. Although it was very light. Her body wasn’t wet. I know that it wasn’t from anything else. She was showing signs of being nervous when I first put her there. It’s very confusing.
I would watch carefully to see if you continue to notice “wet spots” where she lays. My dog has Spay-Induced Incontinence, she leaks urine when she is sleeping. It is often odorless as well as my girl also has a condition where she does not concentrate her urine. If you continue to notice these wet spots a trip to the vet would be warranted to see if there is a medical cause and treatment. Best of luck!
I agree with Jenn. It sounds like urine to me. Sometimes when urine is dilute it has very little odor. At 10years old, I would definitely recommend some baseline bloodwork and a urinalysis.
I’ve got a 9 week old puppy at home, she is passing stools normal colour not to much but is crying when trying to pass. She has been wormed and I’ve just given her, another one as requested by previous owner. Will this fade eventually once worms are killed she is scooting her bum on the floor too
Since she’s only 9 weeks old, you can’t have had her long. Which means either you have a vet visit happening in the next couple of days, right? Ask your vet. 🙂
I would speak with your vet. There are different wormers that are parasite specific. It could be as simple as the wormer you are using is not covering the parasite the puppy has….or it could be something completely unrelated. If she is crying when passing stool I would try to get in to your vet as soon as possible. I hope your puppy feels better soon!

I always tell people that if their puppy isn’t acting normally that you should assume something is wrong and see a vet. If you are worried tell your vet. If they aren’t helpful or reassuring seek a second opinion. You are the only advocate your puppy has.
Two days ago my 8 month old puppy had diarrhea & little pieces of his buffalo chew horn in it. I took away the horn & threw it away bc I didn’t like the fact that he was swallowing pieces. I assumed the diarrhea was from irritation of not being able to digest it. He had no diarrhea yesterday & was totally fine. This morning I woke up to diarrhea on our floor & later he threw up a small amount. His throw up had another little piece of the buffalo horn in it. He is still acting like his very hyper self & is drinking & eating like normal. My question is do you think his stomach is still just a little irritated & trying to get back to normal? Or is this something I should be really concerned about & get him seen?
It’s very possible his stomach is irritated, but I’d be concerned about a partial blockage. Maybe give the vet a call since it’s still an issue?
I agree. I would watch his stools very carefully. It may be irritation from earlier, but if there is partial blockage, you will need to see a vet and have an X-ray to Ben sure. If there is no more improvement, or it keeps recurring, a very visit is needed ASAP.

I would be worried about overheating, but stress, pain, and disease are also possible. Its best and safest to head to the vets.
