Please help someone she’s acting normal now kind
    Of, biting cage and was
In her food bowl, was it because it was to cold for her? Just worried don’t want to lose my hamster, she is drinking, she didn’t want to eat the second time I found her the first time her cheeks were full and at first she didn’t want nothing only she took was a peanut. Tried carrots and cucumber didn’t want them. After she was in towel for a few
Mins she came back into it, her eyes did have like blood on them? She’s very young yet. Such a sweet hamster does bite or potty on you. Just want to
    Make sure
It’s nothing seriously please anything will help thank you

Her Eyes Are Watering, Excess Snot, Sometimes It’s Mixed With Blood, Excess Sneezing, Lethargic…

Her eyes are watering, excess snot, sometimes it’s mixed with blood, excess sneezing, lethargic, her appetite is down. Shes been having trouble breathing and coughing. Sometimes her breathing sounds “wet”. My vet said there’s a chance something could be stuck in her nose or could be cancer. I’m very short on money but if theres a really good chance she could have something stuck in her nose I’ll find the funds to get the tests done.

honestly, if my dog were obviously miserable, i’d do anything and everything i could to figure out the cause and a treatment plan.

My Cat Has Dried Blood At The Edges Of His Nose. Why? He Hand His…

My cat has dried blood at the edges of his nose. Why? He hand his sister were given to us as kittens and she does not have this. They have their first felvshot as well as one other shot, no boosters and no other shots as we became unable to afford the bills of the only vet in the area. Otherwise they are both eating and drinking well, playing and active. They are 1 and 1/2 years old. He has no other health issues we know of just this cake black stuff at the edges of his nose that looks like dried blood. What should I do? And we have no money for an expensive vet bill. We have asked about a payment plan but they will not do that for us, and they are the only vet clinic around. We do not have a car.

is it possible this is just dust?  my cat will end up with black gunk around his nose when we’ve kicked up dust in the house.

does he have any other symptoms that might indicate an issue?

My Cat Has Had A Scab On Her Nose For A Couple Months. I Took…

My cat has had a scab on her nose for a couple months. I took her to the vet and he tested her for mites. Came back negative. He told me to give her 4 doses of revolution every other week to see if it would clear up. It looked like it was clearing up but today she seemed out of it (she’s a outdoor cat). I went outside and her nose was worse than ever! Scabby and super swollen. It looked like she had no nose. I took her back to the vet. She had fever of 105. I’m waiting on blood work. Since being home her nose started dripping blood and a white sack appeared and is getting bigger and bigger. Any idea what this could be? I’m so scared she’s going to die tonight :'(

I am so very sorry to hear this. How sad for you.

If she was bleeding like that it sounds like some sort of poison…..possibly Rat Poison. You wouldn’t know for sure unless you had a necropsy carried out by your Vet though.

I Had A 6 Year Old Female Rabbit. The Day We Noticed These Symptoms Was…

I had a 6 year old female rabbit. The day we noticed these symptoms was the day we had to put her down unfortunately. When we saw her she was holding her head up constantly and only one side of her nose was twitching which wasn’t twitching properly in itself. She didn’t eat a single thing or drink anything that day despite our attempts. I called her and she was all over the place trying to walk, not steady at all, she was staying in one position. Once I lifted her up I noticed blood spots on her bottom but there didn’t seem to be any in the litter tray. Very lethargic and not responding to anything. As I said, I made the choice to have her put down. The vet did say she felt masses in the abdomen on her initial examination but we didn’t find out what was actually wrong. Any suggestions or answers would be much appreciated!

    Hi Beth,
I’m sorry for the loss of your rabbit.
It’s very hard to say what may have been wrong with your rabbit. Since you said your vet did feel masses, I’d tend to believe that was most likely the cause of her having these issues. Most likely if  she felt masses, there may have been other issues as well that she just couldn’t see or feel. She could have had a mass rupture internally and that may have caused her odd head symptoms and lack of wanting to eat.

Rabbits of course need to constantly eat or else their digestive symptoms start to shut down so once she’s to the point of not eating then it’s usually a downhill battle. It would have been interesting to get a necropsy done on her, but that would have been costly depending on your vet. Some vets will do it for free just for learning purposes.
Again, very sorry for your loss.
    ~kelly
