My 8 month old female small breed dog is usually very hyper and loving, but this morning I noticed that she was acting different; puking up foam, diarrhea, and not wanting to move around much, as the day went on, it was straight blood HELP

In case of Puking Foam , Her digestive system isn’t good. But blood is coming?!?? She got a stomach cancer. Keep calm and visit a vet as soon as possible if you want to save her.

Of note, I took the kitten to the vet at 11 days, and she tested negative for parasites in stool. I am using the correct formula.

My Dog Has Been Having Diarrhea For About 4 Days Now, And Is Only Eating…

My dog has been having diarrhea for about 4 days now, and is only eating at night. He will happily eat two meals worth at night. He has been having super smelly farts. I noticed that the farts seem to come mostly after he eats (several an hour for a couple hours), but through the rest of the day, its about once every few hours. His diet doesn’t really change, but he does love spending a lot of time in the back yard.

I recommend having a vet do an exam, fecal float (to look for parasites) and possibly x-rays.  Diarrhea for 4 days in a dog this large is not an emergency but he should be seen by a vet soon.

He Is A 10 Week Old Golden Doodle With An Approximately 1 Day Duration Of…

He is a 10 week old golden doodle with an approximately 1 day duration of diarrhea and soft stools. Sometimes the stool is pudding like in consistency, other times it’s been firmer at first then got watery at the end. Volume has greatly increased as compared to previous days. No know foreign body ingestion, but it is possible.

My dog started off with puking and not eating then she had diarrhea with some blood, we took her to the vet they wanted to keep her so we had her there for three days being that it was 4th of july weekend it was really expensive. They put her on antibiotics and fluids and when we picked her up we paid for antibiotics that we could bring home along with nausea medicine. She is home now and still very sick. She does not have parvo, I dont know what to do.

How can I tell my dog is getting better, or any signs or recovering.

  2. Kelly

    Hello,

sorry to hear you dog is so sick. What did your vet say was wrong with her? I would call the vet back and explain that she is not getting better and ask them. You’ve already paid for your bill there, so give a call back and explain that she is still sick. If they cannot help, find a new vet. If you cannot afford it, reach out to local rescue organizations and ask if they have any programs that can help with assistance. Ask you vet if they have Care Credit (apply for it , ask you vet how). Ask your vet if they can  take payments or if you can work off or volunteer with them to help pay for the care. .Good luck!

My puppy went on a short, hot hike yesterday. Today he is very lethargic and lays or sits down every chance he gets. There is no vomit, diarrhea, discolored tongue/gums, and he is eating and drinking. Should I worry about the lethargy?

Yes, I would worry – give your vet a call, explain your concerns and see if they can get you in to see the doctor for a few moments.

  2. Eric Paulsen

Thanks. I did call my vet, but based on the normalcy of everything else he wasn’t concerned and figured he was exhausted from the hike. Better safe than sorry!

  3. PK Dennis

It is good that you had the conversation – you are right about safe/sorry!

When We Arrived Home From Work, There Was A Grease Can In The Living Room…

When we arrived home from work, there was a grease can in the living room he had gotten into. Unless it is a major coincidence, we believe that he ingested who knows how much. Are these symptoms normal for grease ingestion in a small dog? He has had no diarrhea at all, and only vomited one time. The other times he is dry heaving it kind of sounds like he is wheezing
