Hello Cheryl….you would need to consult a Vet to find out why one side of her jaw is firmer on one side than the other. It could be an infection, it could be congenitial or something else entirely. I would get her checked over by a Vet as soon as you can.
My dog was fine earlier, then all of the sudden he’s whimpering, whining, and limping, he whimpers out loud when you rubs the top of his head. So now he’s laying under me. Is there anything you can tell me, can’t afford the vet.

My 7 month old cane corso female puppy’s right side lower jaw is slightly firmer than the left side. What are possible reasons that cause this?

One dog gets anxiety when I’m not around, and she also currently has digestive tract problems as a result of breast cancer, so I am worried about her. I am able to visit the dogs; they are staying with my parents. But, I was wondering if I keep leaving them, will that just cause more anxiety for them than if I didn’t visit at all?
my dog is 4 weeks old. his mother has rejected him milk. i brought the dog from the breeder and she has already started feeding him puppy food should i continue giving him puppy food or milk from a bottle?

Anonymous oof, that’s tough. you have a lot of work ahead of you.
first: please report this person. they’re breaking the law by selling puppies under 8 weeks of age. they’ve done you no favors by selling you a puppy that is lacking in ALL socialization with littermates.
second: at this point, i believe puppies should be eating a gruel made with puppy milk and puppy-specific kibble. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/whelpingphotos4.htm

Anonymous i actually called my breeder about my second point…i figure if anyone knew, it would be an ethical breeder!
Just noticed small white segments of worms moving in my pregnant dogs poo, what would be safe for her and pups? She is due in less than a week. She’s still her bubbly self, but I’m worried for her.

julie brader Hello Anna, if you are finding worms at this late stage in her pregnancy you need to contact a Vet to find out if she can be wormed now and which wormer is safe.
You will have a lot of problems with worms in the puppies if you don’t keep up with the worming when they are born if your bitch has them this badly. Not only are they passed through the placenta but also mum’s milk.
The puppies will need worming at 2 weeks; 5 weeks; 8 weeks and every 3 weeks after that. Ask your Vet which wormer to use for them when you talk to him about your bitch.
Please consider having your bitch spayed once the puppies are old enough, its much safer for her and stops unplanned litters.
Hope she is ok and the pups are delivered safely. Good luck!

Anna Jones Thx so much, I JUST noticed them last night, so my plans were to call the vet 1st thing and ask. I couldn’t sleep so I searched and read about the worms and pregnant dogs and then I found this site. I haven’t been able to sleep, waiting on the vet to open.

julie brader Hello Alexander, please take her to a Vet urgently. From what you are saying she is not well at all…..and could possibly have a serious infection in her uterus called Pyometra or a urinary tract infection. . Its obviously not normal for her to lose fluid like that….and it doesn’t sound like urine. Added to the other symptoms you describe its time for a Vet. Please don’t leave it any longer, if she does have Pyometra its very serious indeed.
I took my dog in on tuesday to have her teeth cleaned and 2 extractions. She pooped before the surgery and after the surgery. She pooped Wednesday morning and was still kind of out of it. She didn’t poop at all on Thursday but was in a much better mood and acting more herself. It is now Friday morning and still no poop. Since she had extractions the vet told me to only feed her soft food. She was eating wellness core reduced fat formula before surgery but for the wet food I got her blue buffalo. She has a good appetite. Wednesday it was hard to get her to drink water but Thursday she drank more. She didn’t pee as much Wednesday but on Thursday she went more like usual. The vet prescribed her rimadyl, tramadol, and cephalexin for an antibiotic. She hasn’t tried to poop and doesn’t strain to poop and her last poop was perfectly normal. When should I worry about it?

Rebecca Beck Thank you, I called the vet and the one who performed her dental is out of the office. They just told me to keep an eye on her over the weekend and to call back Monday if she hasn’t pooped yet. I should also mention that my dog is an ivdd dachshund and she has nerve damage in her lumbar spine. She can still move and feel her legs but not enough to walk on her own. Could this nerve damage accompanied with the anesthesia she was under cause her digestion to be slowed?

I have a 2-year old male labrado retriever Max and every night between 11pm- midnight he wakes up an scratches his nails upon a floor tile. When we call his name, he flaps his ears and go back to sleep. What can this be please? Thanks

He might of hit his head pretty hard sense you can’t afford a vet just watch him for a few days and if it gets worse you gotta to the vet.;)
you gotta take him to the vet.:)
Hello Brittany, I agree with Brooke your dog is in pain and needs to see a Vet. If you don’t have the funds then please get them from somewhere…..borrow the money phone Vets see if they will let you pay it off. Dogs like people need medical attention sometimes and your dog needs it now.
He won’t lay his head down or nothing and if you touch the right side of his head and neck he cries out.
If you haven’t already taken him to a Vet then you need to take him urgently. Hes in pain and suffering. Please don’t just leave him like this. You need to find the money to take him from somewhere.
I took him to the vet, he’s back to his normal self now ☺☺☺☺
