I need some help pleas
Hi there, I am concerned as my cats urine has been smelling more strongly over ammonia over the past week or so. The strong smell is present when she urinates and defecates and I am worried this may be a symptom of an underlying health problems. Other than that she appears healthy, comfortable. She drinks a lot of water and eats regularly.
Any advice would be appreciated.
we have recently been told that my dog might have bone cancer in his back leg, but we cant afford to do anything until after Christmas, if there anything I can do for him as hes in a lot of pain at the moment.

julie brader Hello Betsy, if your dog is in pain you need to pop her to the Vet and find out what is causing it. If you are certain its her hips she may have Hip Dysplasia which is a whole different ball game.
Any medication you give her needs to be prescribed by a Vet….and only a Vet. She may need x rays too. This really is not something you can treat at home yourself without guidance from a professional.

julie brader No offence intended Sonia but it is not safe to diagnose and medicate dogs without professional advice and guidance.
Just a couple hours ago I came home and my dog was normal, or so he seemed, a couple minutes later he went to hide under a chair in my room and wouldnt come out, I offered him a treat and he wouldnt take it, he always does. I then took him for a walk which he was excited for but not as excited as normal. The entire walk he would slow down and speed up and did not pee or poop once. Then when I brought him back he went back to hiding and stayed down there, when I was in the shower he peed in the kitchen and the other bathroom but a small amount both times. He layed under there for another two hours and when I saw him in the hallway he stopped and I thought he was fine because he was walking around normally then suddenly he stopped curled up his tail and peed as if it was unintentional and when he walked back to his hiding spot he was leaking the entire way back to just lay down.
can you at least get him to the vet to discuss pain management?
I have asked the vet for a payment plan, as they have said we can get doggy morphine for him but there £50 per shot and he will need one a day. there answer for the payment plan was no, they only allow that if the first bill is over £400.
have you tried another vet?
i have just spoken with another vet (the best around near me) and they said it would be pointless to pay for pain relief as he will have to have his leg amputated anyway, but because hes already struggling to walk with 3 legs the best and kindest thing to do would be to put him down. so we have booked him in for tomorrow :'(
🙁 i’m so sorry, Charli
hes only 2 1/2 years old, the vet said its very rare to find this kind of cancer in a dog younger then 6.
that’s awful. 🙁 is it osteo?
i cant remember what they called it, all i remember is that footballers get it as well.
