How thin is thin? Maybe get a second opinion? Did the vet confirm she had worms, or did you worm her unnecessarily?
I have a great Dane puppy who is almost 4 months. When he arrived he had a few little wart-like bumps speckled across The back of his neck and the top of his head. Over the past eight weeks since he’s been with me the bumps are spreading and they seem to be growing bigger in size.
He’s not losing hair and the bumps are not pussy. They are dry and flaky. The breeder says that she’s never had puppy mange in any of her dogs and that she thinks it’s a bacterial infection. The vet wasn’t sure and just said to keep an eye on it to see if he started losing fur.
My puppy doesn’t seem to be in too much discomfort. He’s eating and drinking well. I feed him Diamond brand large breed puppy food. That’s what the breeder fed him and the nutritional levels are right on par with what you suggest on your website. Sometimes I feed him cold apples or carrots from the fridge, to help with teething. It seems like his gums are driving him crazy so I also give him bully stick to chew on.
The bumps have spread all down his side and his leg and even on the skin by his genitals.

I just got a new 9 week old kitten. I got him the night before last. The Kitten is perfectly healthy in every way but one. It is eating solid and canned food. Canned food once a day and dry food through the day. He is drinking water. He is playful and active. Has urinated about 4 times. His belly is not hard. And he is sleeping well.
BUT he has not pooped yet.
The old owners said he pooped the morning of the day I picked him up. But that was Thursday and this is Saturday. I am worried. I wonder if it may be the stress of a new home, no mother or litter mates and two new cats. The one cage of mine has not taken to the kitten yet but the other is coming around.
I do have a vet appointment booked but I have anxiety and I worry.
Hi, I’m staying at a friends house and she has a bird. She just went to sleep and I was eating a chips ahoy chocolate chip cookie and I see her give the bird human food all the time so I have the bird about a third of the cookie. I’ve been reading a lot of articles some saying the a little amount of chocolate is fine and some saying any amount of chocolate can be extremely lethal. I was just wondering if the bird will be alright?
My dog is about to have puppies I think she is lethargic and won’t eat what do I do

Anonymous I’m guessing you’re inexperienced with regards to breeding and lack a breed mentor to help you…that means you need to call the vet who has monitored the dam throughout her pregnancy.

Lisa Pfab Please go see a vet. I know money is sometimes an issue, but try to apply for care credit, or something to get your dog looked at. Is she eating? Is she Drinking? Are her gums nice and pink or white looking? can she walk?
Please call a vet!

My dog started off with puking and not eating then she had diarrhea with some blood, we took her to the vet they wanted to keep her so we had her there for three days being that it was 4th of july weekend it was really expensive. They put her on antibiotics and fluids and when we picked her up we paid for antibiotics that we could bring home along with nausea medicine. She is home now and still very sick. She does not have parvo, I dont know what to do.

Ashley Schrock How can I tell my dog is getting better, or any signs or recovering.

Kelly Hello,
sorry to hear you dog is so sick. What did your vet say was wrong with her? I would call the vet back and explain that she is not getting better and ask them. You’ve already paid for your bill there, so give a call back and explain that she is still sick. If they cannot help, find a new vet. If you cannot afford it, reach out to local rescue organizations and ask if they have any programs that can help with assistance. Ask you vet if they have Care Credit (apply for it , ask you vet how). Ask your vet if they can take payments or if you can work off or volunteer with them to help pay for the care. .Good luck!

My dog got bit by a huge mouse outside and started bleeding, he seemed fine by licking off the blood and eating, but im worried, could there be diseases transmitted? Can i clean the wound somehow? Thank you.
She is a Bengal, approx 1 year old, de sexed and lives with a male tabby 5 years old also desexed. They are both healthy indoor cats. There have been no other behavioural changes, she’s very affectionate, eating and drinking well. No more or less than usual. The urine stains don’t show any signs of discolouration and don’t smell unusual or different from the other cat’s.
My dog developed a large verysoft mass on her throat on top of her esophagus seemingly over night she is antsy but is eating
Did the vet do a skin scrape?
