My 7 Year Old Cat Started Breaking Out With Miliary Dermatitis After We Moved From…
My 7 year old cat started breaking out with miliary dermatitis after we moved from Arizona to Maryland. We have been to the vet several times. Skin test revealed no ringworm and topical flea medication caused her to break out more in the area it was applied. Tests showed no ringworm. We opted for steroid treatment as allergy testing and treatment was too expensive for us. Her skin cleared up for about a month, but now it has broken out again and appears worse thanbefore. The areas most affected are forehead, ears, chin, along the spine, and the base of her tail. She is also on Royal Canin SO Urinary food. How can we help her without making numerous visits to the vet? We just cannot afford to keep bringing her.
She’s 9 Months. She Bites And Scratches Her Back Legs And Under Her Front Armpits…
She’s 9 months. She bites and scratches her back legs and under her front armpits. These places are now red raw and have no fur. Vet changed her food to hills allergy and skin care food and gave me a special shampoo to wash her twice a week but nothing seems to help. She’s also been treated for fleas. Please help as I’m worried about her.
Did he do any lab work? Skin scrapings? Allergy testing?

I have been working with my pets. It’s not easy to treat them when they have skin problems. If your pet is still scratching and etc. get a second opinion, Also be aware of the surroundings for example is there mold in the house; how often do you spray air fresheners in the air; when you mop the floors are you making sure to throughly rinse them so that the floors don’t have residue from the cleaners.
Rule of thumb what goes up must come down. In other words anything you spray, mop, clean make sure the pets aren’t around because if they are they will be breathing, walking,or licking it.
People don’t realize these factors are very important to the health of their dog.
My 3 Yr Old White German Sheperd Has Suddenly Become Itchy, Mostly Around His Hind…
my 3 yr old white german sheperd has suddenly become itchy, mostly around his hind quarters. no known alergies. no evidence of fleas. no dietary changes. what could cause the sudden nusiance itchiness?
Even if you have no known allergies this sudden itchiness could be the result of allergies. I would recommend a visit to your vet before your dog does some damage to his skin by itching.
