nothing at this point and can not afford ultra sound or x-ray
My dog has really dry itchy skin, i wanted to start giving him human grade fish oil capsules to see if it would help. What would the correct dosage be ? He is 83 pounds and currently on a raw diet (Mountain Dog Food)

Kelly Furgason HI Vicky,
Did your vet tell you to leave the cone on ? If so and if she’s bothering her paw, then you need to leave the cone on ,,,take it off for a bit if you can watch her so she doesn’t bother her paw….but put it back on.
Call your vet if you think the medication is not helping , or if things are getting worse.
Good luck!

julie brader Hello Yasmin…..you need to register with a Vet and take your cat without delay.
Blood in stools is never normal, nor is straining to go. Your cat could have any number of things going on, blockage of the bowel…infection…and this needs treatment.
I hope he recovers soon.

thought it was ear mites but that medicine didn’t work
He just started this last night. I set something on the floor for him to eat and he just kinda dances around it. He has never done this before. If I pick it up and give it to him he eats it. If I put it in his bowl (that is raised)he eats it no problem.
Help!

brenda sumner No nothing else. He is going outside and everything seems to be working normal. He puts his head down to sniff the ground, it just seems to be when he eats.

brenda sumner No new food. He eats what ever it is if I hand it to him or if it’s in his bowl. I even had to raise his water bowl this morning.

brenda sumner I just got home and gave him one of his favorite treats, same thing dropped it on the floor and kind of circled it. I feed it to him and he eats it. He doesn’t seem to have pain but dogs don’t show pain all the time. If he scratched his throat with something would he maybe act that way?

brenda sumner I am going to take him in and have him checked. Thanks for your time.
Hi Ashley,
Well, first you need to figure out why your dog has itchy and dry skin. It may be allergies to foods or the surroundings or fleas…Best to get to your vet to have them diagnose what is wrong first. Then, you can treat the root cause of the itchy skin. No sense in spending time and money one what you think may be helpful.

the vet just keeps giving him medication saying its a skin infection.
