Please define “started vomiting”. You mean multiple times since? Since it’s a weekday, and she seems visibly unwell, I’d see a vet with that.

  2. LEE BOWMAN

thank you for responce, yes she vomits white gunk and clear fluid quite regular but full of life when out in garden, will book vet asap.

Hi There- My Dog Basically Got Mauled By Another Dog 2 Weeks Ago. Her Sutures…

Hi there- my dog basically got mauled by another dog 2 weeks ago. Her sutures and staples are to be removed this week. Yesterday she developed a hard lump under her armpit to her chest. She’s limping a bit on that leg, started yesterday and she seems to feel much worse this morning.

I took her in last week to the vet (one week after the incident) because she has a lot of soft fluid build up on her side and belly. The vet said it was due to the trauma and she’s probably moving more and she’s not completely healed.

I’m very concerned about this since its gotten worse so quickly. Can anyone give me input?

I’m so sorry about your dog! I would call the vet first thing this morning. They’ve seen the patient, already are familiar with exactly what trauma has occurred and where, and will be able to give you advice better than anyone else. Good luck.

Thanks. I’m taking her at 11, but I just wanted to do some research before. I appreciate your concern Sarah.

An acute swelling after a trauma is often blood or fluid. It needs to be examined and perhaps even aspirated. Often othe modalities like an X-ray or ultrasound are also helpful.

My Dog Has A Lump On Her Snout/mouth And I’m Very Worried. I Have Booked…

My dog has a lump on her snout/mouth and I’m very worried. I have booked to see a vet tomorrow but I won’t be able to sleep tonight because I’m scared it is cancerous. It is the size of a ten cent coin, crusty and red. I’m very scared 🙁
Can someone try to guess what this is?

Hello My Dog Got Surgery On His Leg On Friday And He Had A Cone…

Hello my dog got surgery on his leg on Friday and he had a cone to prevent him from licking the stitches but tonight the cone actually wrapped around his neck very tight to the point he couldn’t breath so we had to cut it off of him and now the cone is broken is there a way I can prevent him from licking the stitches just until tomorrow

Just try to keep an eye on him, and when he starts to go for his surgery sight, redirect him as best you can.

  2. Krista Magnifico

I have seen people make a cone by cutting a hole in the bottom of a bucket to put their pets head through. Or you can put a big sock over the leg. Or Elizabethan collars are available at most pet stores

I Have 2 Cats And Sometimes They Clean Each Other. When They Do, They…

I have 2 cats and sometimes they clean each other. When they do, they face each other and cat 1 cleans cat 2’s back area near the tail, and cat 2 cleans near cat 1’s shoulder blades. In the past 6 months, cat 1 has started losing hair between his shoulder blades because cat 2 is chewing his fur while they are cleaning each other. Is there anything I can do to keep her from doing this other than making loud sounds to scare her away from him?

I don’t think there is a way to stop them from doing this, you should just try to stop them when ever you see it happen

How Do I Stop My Dog From Pooping In His Crate And Trying To Escape…

How do I stop my dog from pooping in his crate and trying to escape? He has extreme separation anxiety, which we are working with him on hopefully getting him over. We have to keep him in a crate when we are gone or he destroys the house. He hates being in his crate, and is constantly trying to get out and hurting himself and pooping in his crate and getting it all over him. How do I stop this? He is 3 years old.

I’ve even tried giving him benadryl to calm him down and it doesn’t seem to help

These cases take a great deal of time, patience and dedication. I would strongly recommend you work wih a trainer daily and ask for assistance from your vet. At my clinic we help these cases by placing them in daycare for a few weeks. The parents drop them off for the day while they are at work and we work on socialization playing and training. It gets them used to being ok without their parents. From there we start crate training. Often we use medications to help in the beginning. There is help. Ask your vet and find a trainer.

My Puppy Was Spayed 6 Days Ago And 2 Days Post-spay, We Noticed A Red…

My puppy was spayed 6 days ago and 2 days post-spay, we noticed a red bump the side of my thumb just above the incision. It grew throughout the day and then the next day, it seemed to have leaked through an unhealed part of the incision. Not knowing what it was, we brought her to the vet and were told that it seemed that she had an infection…her incision was quite enflamed. We were given an antibiotic that we are currently still giving twice a day. After that, the bump shrank…and after then, if we’d push on it, it would leak through…very pink and watery fluid. Now at nearly a week after surgery, the bump is back(same size…like a thumb print), but now that the incision has healed, it no longer is drainable… What could this be? I was thinking an abcess(which is what I assumed the vet thought), but it was never filled with pus, just very watery.
Should I take her back to the vet to get it checked out or is this something that may resolve on its own and I’m just overreacting…?
I included the image from day 3 when it burst and then today, day 6.

I would phone the vet and explain that it is back and that you are concerned.

My Dog Won’t Listen! She Is Normally Very Chill And Hasn’t Done Anything In A Long…

My dog won’t listen!

She is normally very chill and hasn’t done anything in a long time to get herself in trouble, but right now she is in the bedroom (make shift kennel bc I didn’t think she needed one anymore) because she won’t listen! Her and my other dog got in to it bad and I separated them and asked them each to lay down and she sat but would not my down and just completely ignored me. after a few minutes I let her out, brought her back in to the living room and asked her to lay down again and she continued to ignore me. I don’t know what to do.

Am I to understand the other dog isn’t present when you’re asking her to lay down? Is it possible she is injured in some way and that why reluctant to lay down? That would be the main question to find the answer to. Particularly since she’ll sit but won’t lay down.
