He needs a vet to diagnose him in person.  Please get him there NOW.  If you truly think he has parvo, this is an emergency – don’t delay!

My Cat Has Decided Not To Pooh In The Litter Box. Do You Have…

My cat has decided not to pooh in the litter box. Do you have a list of things that could cause this?

Hello, how old is your cat? If it is young, it could still be getting the hang of things. If it is old, then it could be too old to go into the litter box. If it is mid-aged, it could be marking it’s territory. Good luck!

My Cats Always Choke On Hairballs In Their Throats (without Vomiting) So I Would…

My cats always choke on hairballs in their throats (without vomiting) so I would prefer (if available online/in your local store) a dry cat food brand that eliminates/controls the hairballs in my cats’ throats in addition to the food being completely FREE of BY-PRODUCTS because 2 of my 3 cats have suffered from Meow-Mix (which contains by-products).

Unfortunately, we don’t really know what’s available in Turkey.  Can you give us a list of what you can get there?

  2. Zaid Kilani

Sorry if I startled you but I’m only visiting Turkey for this month (I actually live in Jordan) but I’m willing to order/ship cat food online because the available foods in Jordan are Meow Mix, Le Chat and Royal Canin. I’ve tried all these (both the wet and dry food versions) and my cats never seemed to like them.

My Cat Got His Hip Popped Back Into Place After Dislocating It And Is In…

My cat got his hip popped back into place after dislocating it and is in a lot of pain, causing him to avoid eating and drinking. I have gotten him to eat a bit, but still can’t get him to drink anything. We have had them for 9 years now and have only ever given them water to drink. Would it be dangerous if I tried giving him a little bit of milk even though he has never had it and is going about 24 hours now without any liquids?

we are also planning on taking him to the vet soon (its 2:50am right now) but I am simply finding anything to do to get him to drink a bit before then.

Hello. I adopted my 12 year old cat yesterday around 8:00 pm, he hasn’t peed or pooped since then. But he is still eating regularly and drinking a bowl a day, also he is still his affectionate self. Should I be worried??

Has he tried using the bathroom by going in the litter box but nothing is coming out?

  2. Brittany Foltice

I would say that if it has been a while since he has used the bathroom, your best bet is to consult a vet. If he has tried but failed to use the bathroom, there could be some sort of blockage preventing them from using the bathroom. I know with one of my 9 year old cats, he wasn’t able to use the bathroom, and after a bit he would scream in pain when trying. Turned out that he had crystalized urine, very painful but easily treatable with some antibiotics. But even if he doesn’t seem to be trying to use the restroom, it would still be a good idea to consult a vet if it has been a few days simply because if he is drinking and eating normally, it needs to eventually come back out. Better to check early and be all good than to be too late to do anything.

My cat’s name is Tootie
He was 3 years old, in perfectly good health
After his death I’ve done about 5 hours of research for the cause of his death but couldn’t find any answers:(
He had a heavy cold a week prior to his death but the vet told me that there was nothing to worry about, I hope this info helps and RIP Tootie.

I’m so sorry, Zaid.  Unfortunately, without a necropsy, there’s no real way to know what caused his death.

  2. Zaid Kilani

Thank you for giving your time to read my question but the problem is that my family members are not keen on the idea of a specialist performing a necropsy on Tootie as we already gave him a proper grave…..
Can his death be due to heartworms?
Because the symptoms/signs of a heartworm being present in a cat’s body are compatible with the behavior of my cat and I forgot to add that we recently sent him to the vet due to tens of flea and mosquito bites (the main transmitters of heartworms between cats).

I doubt heartworms would have been THAT bad THAT quickly.

He is a 10 week old golden doodle with an approximately 1 day duration of diarrhea and soft stools. Sometimes the stool is pudding like in consistency, other times it’s been firmer at first then got watery at the end. Volume has greatly increased as compared to previous days. No know foreign body ingestion, but it is possible.
