Well my rabbit Monte(buck) is 6 months old. I noticed a slight growth on his bottom lip. It is more brown than the usual pink. He is eating normally. I wiped it with water but it still looks like a growth.
My Staffie Bitch keeps eating weeds and grass from our back garden. She constantly waits at the back door as if she needs to go to the toilet. Do you know what’s causing her to behave like this?
I don’t give her any food. Is anything I can get from svc for her?
Zaure, I would never let bloody diarrhea go on this long. The GI tract is clearly in distress; there is such a thing as hemorrhagic gastroenteritis; this is bad and dangerous on its own. Plus there is no way of knowing whether there is an issue with clotting and something even worse can be going on. I’d definitely see a vet.
I agree. Bloody diarrhea is always a sign that something is going on in your dogs body. I would call your vet.
Today as every day our beloved Golden made a poop. 3/4 of which was perfectly normal.1/4 was yellow and well, watery. He eats normally, drinks, plays, digs, wags his tail. Yesterday he stole a chicken in worcastershire sauce. And on Wednesday we changed their puppy food (we mixed taste of wild with holistic ) – He’s up to date with his vaccines ( (DHPPi2 + lepto – most recent).
We have also a lab, but she is on metronidazole right now. She has ameba – which is very common in Indonesia. He was clean, so he got his second shot on Monday.
Sorry for panicking, but we had a dozens of health issues with our dogs and I’m superscared about dealing with distemper or parvo (again).*
*Our lab had parvo 2 months ago, test – positive. Our golden was parvo negative, but he started to have the same symptoms as our lab 4 days before she did. 3 of 4 vets we encountered said that his test results must have been false negative. Now I’m panicking its parvo again. Should I?
For breakfast they had: puppy food (+ peanut butter + apple on the side) (as always)
for lunch I’m serving rice with chicken and carrot.
Can I do something more??
Second poop today was just as it should be. Brown and solid. No lethargy or vomiting. He’s crazy happy, thorn his new bed apart, ate the whole lunch and snack. I am so happy that he’s alright!
How do you feel about Capstar as a partial remedy for fleas?
I order Revolution from PetShed.com in Canada. It kills: fleas, Ticks, Ear Mites, Roundworm, Hookworm, Tapeworm,& I don’t remember what else. I use it on my four cats .
What can I do at home for her don’t have money for vet

Oh, Frontline Plus – I think the fleas eat that for breakfast!
I’m not to sure on how you can stop/treat this but I hope your dogs are ok. The only thing I can suggest after everything you have already tried is, after a big soapy bath, use a flea comb and then put on a spray. I think that combination could definitely make the situation better. I’m assuming you have more than one dog because you said dogs? If that’s the case I think you should have a separate comb for each one so as not to spread fleas and also bath separately if not already. (Also clean the bath after bathing one and then bath the other) if you are still dealing with the fleas perhaps take them to the vet and make sure it is fleas your dealing with. If you manage to rid one of fleas make sure to keep it away from the other dog/s that have fleas so it doesn’t pick them up again. You may already do this stuff and so sorry because then this advice is useless. I hope you manage to get rid of them safely and that your dogs are ok.

A situation of severe fleas can be tough to completely eliminate. If you have already tried treating your dogs and house but are still suffering you may need to go to the extreme- my suggestion is time consuming, but has worked for me in the past:
Fleas have a cycle and without destroying every stage of the cycle they will just continue to breed and jump straight back on your dogs.
1. Fleas travel so I would treat your whole house (use a good house flea treatment as some can just slow down the process instead of actually killing the fleas- Johnson’s has always worked really well for me). Leave the spray to work for 12 hours without your dogs in the house, otherwise like i said the cycle will carry on.
2. While your house is being treated bathe your dogs- use flea shampoo, but most importantly do not just shower your dogs, after you have shampooed and washed them, fill the bath/ container up to their neck and let them soak for half an hour to an hour ( fleas are difficult to kill but they will drown after this amount of time). Your dogs may not like a long, soaking bath but if it relieves them of the fleas they will feel much mire comfortable.
3. Once your dogs are out of the bath, fully dried and brushed thoroughly, treat them with flea treatment (again some brands do not work as well as others- frontline is vet recommended, and works very well).
4. Let your dog back into the house after 12 hours.

Could he have worms? Should I deworm him even though I haven’t seen signs of them?
my dog just started randomly flinching about 2 hours ago he is fine when he i relaxed but as soon as he gets exited it starts again he is normally very hyper but seems very depressed now he is not eating all of his treats so is dropping them. he is a 2 and a half year old rottie and he has never behaved in this way before he is like a whole different dog also he has begun to dribble a lot more than normal .
My male dog penetrated my other male dog. They were tied for about 15 minutes. This was yesterday. Now my Yorkie Poodle is moving around very slowly, has diarreah and wont eat. I chekced his stool and NO blood.

I’ve read that dogs do this because their ancestors used to eat animals that ate grass so it was part of their diet and now dogs eat grass because of that. I’m not sure how much truth this holds but, nonetheless, it sure is interesting. I think it’s a fairly normal thing. My dogs have never thrown up after eating it.
