Thank you for getting back to me. I have only had her around a month and she came from the RSPCA – she has been spayed and wormed and is up to date with all health needs / injections. I haven’t noticed any other issues in her litter tray. I did take her on an outing to my parents house and let her wander (I want to get her used to moving around in case I go away and need others to look after her) She does drink alot of water and urinates a lot – but this hasn’t changed since I got her. a bowlful every two days, she eats well – mainly dry food with a treat of wet food maybe once a week.
i tried twce today and the first time i understood cause it was drizzling and he doesn’t like to get wet anymore, but the second time it clears up kinda cloudy but good and he refused to go down the stoop steps and when he finally did he didn’t want to walk just stand there but when i went to sit down he decided to sit next to me and enjoy the weather and get some good love and petting, i know its probably just him wanting more time with me and he does like to enjoy weather sometimes stopping on walks for along time but today was odd he just refused and when i finally said lets go upstairs he rushed ( well as best as he could) to go back up, i know lots of people are home today and he loves to be home with everyone but i was worried and didn’t understand why he wouldn’t want to walk he’s decided on his usual indoor potty today

Hi,
My kitten is roughly 7 months old and I am training her to use the toilet – When cleaning out the litter, I noticed blood in her stool. She is an indoor kitten and from the rescue home. Can you please give me any advice?
Thanks Z

Everyday when I come home there is a small pile of garbage from the bathroom, left in my room in the exact same spot everyday. They are small and neat piles. If you go to the bathroom garbage it looks as though she was rummaging through to find the right pieces to bring. She only leaves them in my room, not any of my other family members and it’s always just right inside my doorway. What does this mean? Why is she doing this?
So my husband passed away 2 months ago we had 3 cats since they were 6 weeks old they are now 4 years old well animal control came and took my dog and 3 cats well I got my male cat back but his sisters were adopted out but this is his 2 night home and he is being really fiesty and keeps meowing and he just looks at me like he wants to pounce on me.. He was in Halifax humane society for 2 months..

Anonymous first of all, i’m so sorry for your losses and all of your upheaval. that’s a lot to deal with all at once. i hope you’re doing okay.
secondly, he may just need reacclimation to your home. please try to be patient with him. my male cat was this way when i brought him home from the shelter…he was absolutely NUTS for a while. the only thing that really helped was increased interactive playtime, so i bought a wand toy and went “fishing.” that seemed to help.
My dog is 12 1/2 and had a seizure. I took her to the vet and they said she has heartworms. Started her on the medication and the next day she had another seizure. I rushed her in again and they did X-rays to find out she has cancer(I’m not sure what kind) but it is on or near her lungs. They put her on seizure meds and it doesn’t seem to be helping. She rests most of the day and when I get her up to go to the bathroom or get home from work, she has a seizure. And now she seems to be a bit unsteady on her feet while walking. I took her for a short walk and she walked good. She has lost some weight, I can feel her spine very easily, but her stomach seems to be a bit bulgy. I want to know if this is all from the cancer or could she have possibly at something toxic or something that could block her to cause these symptoms? And is this most likely the end or is there other things like diet and vitamins I can give her that would help?
My dog will be 6 months old when he first brought her home he was trained to go on the puppy pads and to go outside here recently she wants to go outside as soon as you get her outside she runs for the door we don’t understand why.

Sarah Branham I know when our dogs were puppies, sometimes they just were to distracted with wanting to play they didn’t want to be “bothered” to use the bathroom. We would stay outside with them for a little while and continue to give them a “potty” command, we used “Go use the bathroom” and we would just repeat it over and over and then when they went we would make a big deal about it and immediately give them a treat to reinforce the good behavior.
If she is home alone a lot, it could just be needing more attention. Remember, puppies have A LOT of energy. 🙂
Good luck!

Dawn Freeman Thank you so much I will give it a try.?
The vomit is usually a yellowish colour but a few days ago it had black in it… She has stopped eating, but recently my mom bought canned dog food and she will eat that. She doesn’t bark anymore when we come home and doesn’t even lift her head to my parents. We did, recently get a new puppy. She is obviously jealous and I give her all the attention I can. But she seems sick, not just sad or depressed.. Please, help.

My dog is vomiting, not eating (unless we give her canned dog food) and has stopped barking or even lifting her head when we come home… Please help 🙁
My indoor only, still feral male cat has not eaten or drank anything for 2 days since bringing him home having been catheterized from being close to blocked yesterday. I’ve tried chicken baby food and his treats he loves. Any suggestions.?
Hi, we are sitting for some friends and Pedro the pincher mix seems to be trying to cough something up. we think its bark from a tree. is there a home remedy for us to try?
I would take him to the vet to be sure everything else is okay. Likely he has pain secondary to arthritis which is the reason he has slowed down. Your vet can evaluate this and prescribe therapies that can help.
So until I can get him to a vet woukd it be wise to let him just lay in his cushioned bed to rest and ease some pain and not bother him ? I’m also giveinf him a hip and joint treat supplement I’m wondering if that helps any for now.
