Hello,
It sounds like your dog is not feeling well. She needs to see a veterinarian to tell you what may be wrong. Please go as quickly as possible. It may be any of the following pain, infection, disease, toxin, etc etc. I hope she is ok.
My 11 years old cat died yesterday after 12 hours in pain. She has been lethargic for about 1 month now, but I really thought that was a result of her aging. She was occasionally puking, mostly unprocessed food. Yesterday she started puking but just liquids, greenish and with some foam. She was really in pain and she started breathing with her mouth open and tongue out. We took her to the vet which told us that was probably a kidney failure and run some blood test on her. Then he sent us home with the cat telling us to come back the other day, he didn’t realize it was an emergency. We took her back home but the situation got worse. She puked more, the pain got worse she didn’t have any energy at all. So we rushed to the clinic again at 1 am. The vet did some x rays on her, and told us she had something near her stomach but he couldn’t tell what it was. It could have been anything from a tumor to a hairball. He thought it was best for her to stay overnight. She was in very bad conditions, he just injected some pain killers to her. She died three hours later. I feel so bad for letting her there. I just can’t believe she is gone like this. Another vet that saw the blood test and the x rays thinks it neither kidney failure nor tumor or hairball. I’m devastated. What could it possibly be that killed my cat?

My dog hasn’t ate all day. She is lethargic, whimpering, tremors. All she wants to do is lay down. What can possibly be wrong with her?

My 6 yr old beagle ate chocolate a day ago, which we just figured out, and starting having seizures and posturing. He is also very lethargic. Can I still give him activated charcoal to absorb whatever toxins are still in his system and how much? Any help is appreciated.

Jay Alex I’m not a vet, but once a dog has started having seizures, you should skip giving him activated charcoal and take him to the vet. If he ate it that long ago, he’s already absorbed most of the toxins. Activated charcoal is only effective before he’s absorbed toxins, not after. It may be a costly visit, but seizures are never a good sign.
My dog, a schnoodle 7yrs is lethargic, seems to have pain in his hind quarters (like arthritis type pain) and is sensitive around the anal area and slightly runny stool. Any thoughts or advice please.

My cat has vomited three times today – it was clear and has gotten yellow. He’s still drinking water and is active – no lethargy or soreness. Do I need to take him to the ER immediately or should I see if it continues?

My dog is acting very lethargic, has a loss of appetite, wobbles when walks or stands, wobbles head while sitting down, and is drooling excessively. Any suggestions? She is one year old and is a cockapoo.
He’s an indoor cat, escaped few days ago and I believed he fell in the drain behind my house because he came back full of dirt. I think he might have hurt his leg jumping out of the drain. He’s not limping, didnt show any sign of hurt at first but when I tried to lift him up he got angry, when I checked his front leg, it didnt feel broken and he got really grumpy when I touch it. He’s still eating/drinking but less than usual. He’s also pretty moody and lethargic, less playful.
Our 14 month old male gerbil lost part of his tail about a year ago. This left a small black spot part way up the remaining stump on one side. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that it had got bigger. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all and he not lethargic or unwell. What could it be?

Andrea Cox I had a gerbil that got cancer and it started with a black spot on its back and it spread all over. Nothing you can really do about it if it is cancer. When you say it lost part of its tail are you saying you had it removed, or it just fell off? You will have to take it to a vet and they will tell you if it needs to be cut off and biopsy of the black part. It also could be other things besides cancer but only a vet can really help you. It could be an infection and need antibiotics. Please take it to a vet.

Amanda Wright He got his tail caught and panicked, and it broke away, they are designed to do that. It’s not an infection, it’s a nice neat, round smooth bump on the side of his tail. I have emailed photos to my vet, waiting to hear whether he wants me to take him down to see him.
I’m sorry for your loss.
