Hi, it looks more like a circular bald spot on the photo than a lump…maybe its just the angle of the picture. We really couldn’t tell you what this is…..could be anything. You would need to see a Vet for a diagnosis and treatment. Good luck.
I have a dog she has a little lump on her back I noticed I was wondering if it is a cyst or something else

Anonymous i would be willing to guess this is a lick granuloma based on what i’ve seen on other dogs. to the vet with you, to make sure your dog doesn’t have pain somewhere on that limb. they can also prescribe a spray that will deter further licking.
what breed is he? i’d wonder if he’s getting enough mental stimulation. in some breeds, if they are not trained every day or worked in some sort of sport, they will resort to self-soothing behaviors like licking limbs. this can turn into OCD (we see this a lot in Doberman Pinschers). so: figure out the cause, make sure your dog’s mental needs are met and exceeded.
My nine-year-old female cockapoo who has two lumps in front of her to find hips in the same spot? She’s eating and drinking and going out but not acting herself energy wise?
My dog got spayed 4 days ago. There’s a hard lump in incision area in between sutures. No bleeding or drainage visible. Is it ok?
My 9yr old cat had small lumps on his rear end, when I groomed him they bled
She has been really itchy lately and when I was bathing her with oatmeal bath i noticed this lump on her tail. Any idea what it is?
It doesnt seem to hurt her and she is still eating though yesterday shes not eating as much. She has always eaten anything she can like bugs, spiders, pine cones you name it she will eat it.We cannot afford a vet please help.We have been giving her milk and that helps the swelling but not the lump
My 2yr old male staffy has had a lump growing on his right side along his bottom rib. I have just been monitoring it and over the last couple of days it has started to change. I have booked him in to our vet but I am so worried.

Dawn Ferara, DVM Unfortunately, it is very difficult to tell from the picture exactly what type of mass is growing on your dog. What I can tell you is going to be evaluated by your vet is the best idea and I’m very happy you have an appointment. Also, at 2 years of age it becomes less likely that the mass is some type of cancer. Likely unless it’s a parasite or cyst your vet will likely recommend removal and sending the mass to a pathologist to determine the type of mass.
Good luck! I hope everything works out for your dog!
She was sick about three weeks ago with a fever and slightly elevated numbers in her pancreas. After several days on antibiotics she started eating again. Then she sprained her toe 11 days ago while running in the park, and is now walking without a limp. Now this purple lump on her stomach just popped up out of nowhere. It doesn’t look like a bite. It’s in between nipples, so it doesn’t have to do with that. She was fixed at three months old, so it shouldn’t have anything to do with mammary glands. Does this look familiar to anyone? I’ve shelled out about $350 in vet bills over the past three weeks and I’d like to avoid another trip if this is something that could just go away on it’s own.
Thank you for so much for your help.

Brent Wolfson UPDATE: It’s only been a few hours since my post, but the thing ruptured. It’s gone from the dark purple to a clear ring with slight red around it. I’m guessing it was just a large pimple or blister of some kind. I’ve cleaned and disinfected it. I’ll keep an eye on it, but I’m guessing she’s going to be just fine.

agatha tori Keep it clean probably and infected pimple like bump. I use peroxide on my dogs.
I would get to the vet ASAP. It may just be a benign cyst or an allergic reaction or something else very simple. On the other hand, some lumps can be cancerous and the QUICKER that you have a vet check it out, the quicker you can get treatment for your pet.
