i would move the vet visit up to tomorrow if at all possible.
My pet rat Hasn’t really sneezed as bad only like once or twice for the past week he’s been here, but just now he was sneezing a lot over and over, he’s better now, but should I be worried?

Can an indoor only cat catch a cold if he hasn’t been around other cats? We have 4 cats and we did move about a month ago. One of the cats has been sneezing, coughing, lethargic, and has a fever. How could he have caught a virus if he was in his carrier the whole trip, has never been outside, and only has been around my other three cats his whole life? (he’s about a year and a half old). At what point should I bring him to the vet? He ate some wet food tonight and is still happy to get snuggles, but he’s not himself. Will it just clear up on its own? Thank you!
for 2-3 weeks. My kittens have eye discharge on can hardly open his eyes, obvious difficulty breathing, sneezing, decreased in appetite, though they still eat… Sometimes I worry because there breathing get’s so shallow, or when my boy is laying in me it’s like breath is being punched out of him every time he breaths, they both sneese, but the girl is worse than the boy with that, and they sleepn so much. They’ve gotten out more than a few times, but they are indoor cats. I’m trying lycine until I can take them to the vet, but they don’t like it so it’s hard to get them to take it, and I’m keeping food and fresh water. I just so worried. I think maybe, it could be a uri, and maybe some autoimmune disorder because they were born from a feral colony and a lot of them have something going on, but what do I do and how can I help them, until I can get them to the vet. I’m so worried.

It is perfectly round and symmetrical, appears to be under the skin (hair is intact), fairly firm, 2 inches in diameter and doesn’t seem to be bothering my dog when touched. He was also licking his nose very frequently when it showed up along with increased sneezing. I’m wondering, What this is caused by? Should he see a vet? Could this be caused by an allergy?
My cat was bitten by something about two days ago right under his chin now its swollen real bad an has a tiny hole in it he was sneezing an hacking a lot but its calm down now.

julie brader Hello Branden, your cat needs to be seen by a Vet. Whatever the bite was its now swollen and no doubt infected.
He needs Veterinary treatment to get the swelling and infection under control and heal.
I hope he recovers soon.

Branden Johns Thank you, I was really hoping for some home remedies though. My family and I just moved to a different state and we dont really have the funds to take him to see a vet right now unfortunately.
-
julie brader There really are no home remedies unfortunately. He probably needs antibiotics only available from a Vet.

I have a 4 year old pit bull. The last few days he has been sluggish with sneezing, runny eyes and an occasional nonproductive cough. Today, I noticed two enlarged lymph nodes. No appetite or voiding problems. Our other dog is fine. He is not around other dogs. We live in the country and his yard time is supervised.

Melinawantsa Cupcake Yes so be careful with your pet try to avoid bee stings and poison ivy if they do get allergy give them Benadryl

Melinawantsa Cupcake Ok

julie brader Sorry pressed wrong button!
I don’t know what Melina is telling you to be honest but your dog needs more than Bendryl. This doesn’t sound like allergies to me it sounds like infection. Sneezing, runny eyes, cough and enlarged lymph nodes, sluggish? ..you need to take him to a Vet before he gets any worse.
-
julie brader Take him to a Vet!!
-
Cyndi Mattox He is on antibiotics so hopefully he will perk up soon. Thanks everyone! He has never been sick before.
-
Cyndi Mattox Thanks. He is on antibiotics now. That’s my baby so I couldn’t sit and wait. He isn’t happy right now because he got shots but a doggy cookie helped.
-
julie brader So pleased you saw Krista and my replies….I’m sure he will recover soon with antibiotics. Can i just say some Probiotic would help while hes on the meds. Natural live yoghurt on his food, a couple of teaspoons a couple of times a day. Hope hes better soon!

Melinawantsa Cupcake My baby got stung by a bee 2 times about every month so we gave him Benydrl , Benydrl is Medicean for allergy if u google it then u would understand but since it’s strong for him u need to mix with water like my baby

Cyndi Mattox I have probiotic tabs. Will that work? He really isn’t hard to give oral meds to.
-
julie brader Are they Probiotic tablets for dogs? If they are and you know the dose to give him then yes. I wouldn’t give him Probiotic tablets for humans though….I don’t know if they would be safe for dogs. I know you’ll be safe with yoghurt though.
I have a new Kitten that isn’t eating much. He is drinking. He was at the vet (Dr. Magnifico) on Sunday because he was sneezing. Just adopted him and his brother on Friday. Brother seems to be fine. He is taking an antibiotic twice a day. He has been opening his mouth a lot, kind of like his nose is clogged and he is breathing through his mouth. He comes to the food (wet) when I put it out but he hovers over it and licks it, but I don’t think he is eating it. What can I do? It is snowing here and I will probably not be able to get him to the vet today. Thanks,
Brady

Hi, my cat Dewey was treated at Jarrettsville Vet at the end of February b/c his eyes were swollen, red, itchy, tearing up. He was also sneezing. He was given an antibiotic, antihistamine, and eye ointment. His sneezing cleared up, but his eyes were still itchy, swollen and red so I took him back on 2/28/13. He was given a different eye ointment w/a steroid for 3 days.
He finished the eye ointment on 3/3 and the antibiotic and antihistamine on 3/10.
Yesterday, 3/20, his eyes were swollen and itchy again. But he has not been sneezing.
Could I give him another 3 days of the eye ointment? It’s called Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates, Bacitracin Zinc and Hydrocortisone Ophthalmic ointment USP.
Thanks!!!

Hi, I’m not really sure what your question is so you may try re-phrasing it. He was sneezing a lot, then stopped? Was there new bedding or something in his environment? Any discharge from his eyes or nose? Trouble breathing?
