My dog does not move his back legs normally, this afternoon he ran and jumped as always , but in the night I want to take him for his walk and I’m notice that his left leg looked strange as numb and walk a bit odd , when I went to check his leg I’m notice that he had the tendons were tight and caused him discomfort when pressing them strong, when the stretch and moved it looked completely normal when he got up again, note that his right leg was like walking a little wobbly too, he is not dragging his legs , He stood on four legs but the back looked shaky as if weakness and alternated his weight from one leg to the other .He seemed to tire, He walk and jump into bed and lay back, he don’t have fever or breathing difficulties, and so far it has made their physiological needs normally. I am very worried, it’s late at night and do not know what I can do and I cannot go to the vet at least not now!? I do

Hi,
I have a four year old Patterdale terrier. He has started to attack the TV when I watch cooking shows. He jumps at the TV and starts to try and bite it. We have tried putting out of the room and bringing him back in once the show has ended but he starts moaning if he is out of the room for too long.
Could I have some advice on how to stop this behaviour?
Thank you

Our husky had his girlfriend over and they had relations for the first time. Actually a few times over the past couple of days. She went home and he is trembling and hard breathing. She has been gone for a few hours. What could be going on?

she is not going throught obidience classes
we were told she is to smart for them…
at 4 months she new Sit, Stay, Come, Lye Down, Leave it and go fetch…
so i dont know why she still goes crazy and jumps on me, she bites hard and goes CRAZY…
She listens sometimes but we think that she may have established that i am only her playate what do u think? -
Anonymous First things first: She’s a puppy! Puppies are CRAZY.
Have you gone through obedience training classes with her? I strongly suggest them…they help build the bond with your puppy, and will absolutely help you get her to focus on you.

Phil Richardson I have been watching that very same behaviour now the trainer in this case says that she goes mad and causes chaos because she might a not now how to interact properly with other dogs as when u were told your pups to clever did that end the socilazing with other animals and there owners ..do u walk or interact much with other dogs on your walk has she been on a pack walk with u and other dogs also if she is on a leash if you are not calm when meeting other people or other dogs your fears and tension is put straight on your dog as dogs thrive off our energy we are projecting u have to be calm and have the leash slack

Anonymous That trainer has no idea what they’re doing, then. Look elsewhere. If need be, do a Google search for dog training clubs in your area.
She’s a puppy – she thinks *everything* is her playmate. Be gentle but firm when you redirect her. I left a leash on my puppy when she wasn’t crated – it made corrections easy.
One thing a lot of folks do is train an incompatible behavior. So when she goes to jump, have her sit instead. Or have her get you a toy.

9/23/16 2 yr old Maltese has IVDD and has a cervical issue. We didn’t take him to the neurologist, but chose to treat with medication. He was paralyzed is all but one front leg. Never lost deep pain. It’s been two weeks of crate confinement and he is much better. He can sit and has even stood a couple of times.
My question is, how long does he need to stay confined in a small space? Do i let him try to stand?
my cat is acting different lately she is sleeping more and not really wanting to do anything and when we touch her on her belly she meows like she is in pain does she have cancer or is she sick?

Hello! My 4 month year old Lab had diarrhea last night and seems to go every 2 to 3 hours. I tried her on some rice and she vomited. She acts ok. She still will play then nap, which is kinda normal. After the rice her pooped looked green?I wonder if anyone has some advice to avoid dehydration? How soon should I take her in?
My friend just decided not to euthanize her cat of 18 years old today. The cat is blind and suffering from seizures, as well as dementia. She seems alert and ok, today, though. Do you think that this was the right decision?

Laurie Davala I’m sure everyone has different thoughts on this, but my heart tells me it’s a quality of life question. If pets primarily live in the moment, it’s a shame for the last moments to involve suffering. It’s so hard for us to say good-bye because we still love and enjoy our pets even if they are no longer enjoying life.

Paul Acerno It’s a tough call, your friend knows the cat better and will have a better idea of if she’s really suffering.

I have a 9-year-old 5 pound chihuahua with a collapsed trachea. He has been on hydrocodone on and off for a few months now, and it does not seem to help at all, even at the maximum dosage. He was put on steroids which worked well for the first 2-3 weeks, but they stopped working all together before he was even done taking them. Is there any other medication out there that could possibly help? He is still eating, drinking, going to the bathroom etc without any issues, just a horrible constant cough that keeps him up half the night and I’m certain must be painful for him.
Hello.
No one but your vet can answer this appropriately. Too many variables like disease, diagnostics (or lack there of), and your cats physical health influence this answer.
Please call your vet and ask for clarification on the duration and use of the medication they prescribed. It is part of the exam and office fee you paid for and they are the best source for your cats ideal care. Also ask about diet, exercise and supplements to help avoid future episodes.
